Senior Girls Cross Country Change

Following the Irish Schools AGM on 3rd January, the distance for the Irish Schools Senior Girls Cross Country Championships has been changed from 2500m to 3500m. The distance for the East Munster Schools Cross Country Championships will still be 2500m and for the Munster Schools Cross Country Championships, the distance will be 3000m.

Waterford Schools Cross Country Championships

The Waterford Schools Cross Country Championships will take place on Wednesday 15th January in St. Augustine’s College, Dungarvan.

East Munster Schools Dates are:-

Friday 31st January – East Munster Schools XC Championships in Carriganore, WIT

Tuesday 5th May – East Munster Schools Boys T&F Championships in Templemore Track

Thursday 7th May – East Munster Schools Girls T&F Championships in Waterford RSC


County Tipperary Post Primary Schools XC Championships

The County Tipperary Post Primary Schools Cross Country Championships take place on Tuesday 26th November in Thurles Crokes A.C. Grounds. The first race gets underway at 11.30am. Closing date for receipt of entries is Friday 22nd November.

Munster Schools AGM 2019

The Munster Schools AGM will take place on Monday 18th November at 8pm in the Cahir House Hotel, Cahir, Co. Tipperary. All interested schools are welcome to attend.

SIAB Schools International T&F

The SIAB Schools International T&F took place in Swansea University on Saturday 20th July. East Munster was represented by 3 athletes:-

  • Matteo Mary, St. Declan’s Kilmacthomas – 4th Boys 1500m (4.05.49)
  • Azuolas Varnele, Colaiste Mhuire Co-Ed Thurles – 5th Boys Hammer (48.21m)
  • Katie Nolke, Ursuline Waterford – 6th Girls High Jump (1.61m)
