East Munster Schools Track & Field Championships will take place on the following dates:-

  • Girls Championships on Wednesday 29th April at 12 noon in Templemore Track
  • Boys Championships on Wednesday 6th May at 11.30am in Waterford Regional Sports Centre.

Timetables & other relevant details to follow shortly.

Munster Schools Track & Field Championships will take place on Saturday 16th May in Cork I.T. at 9.30am. Timetable & other details to follow at a later date.

SIAB Schools XC Success

Well done to the Irish teams who took part in the SIAB Schools Cross Country Championships in Santry Demesne on Saturday 21st March. There were silver team medals for the Irish Junior & Intermediate Boys with bronze team medals for the Irish Junior & Intermediate Girls. See AAI Review here.

Congrats to the East Munster athletes, Fred Crowley, Thurles CBS ( 18th Junior Boys race), Avril Deegan, Presentation Thurles (27th Inter Girls race) & Michael Power, St. Augustine’s College (23rd Inter Boys race). Well done also to Munster athletes, Darragh McElhinney who produced a stunning performance to win individual gold in the Junior Boys race & to Jennifer Cotter (27th Junior Girls), Caoimhe Harrington (11th Inter Girls) & Aisling Kelly (22nd Inter Girls). SIAB Schools XC Team Announced

Good luck to the 32 Irish Schools athletes who will take part in the SIAB Schools Cross Country Championships in Santry Demesne on Saturday 21st March. In particular, we wish our East Munster athletes, Michael Power, St. Augustine’s College (Inter Boys), Avril Deegan, Presentation Convent, Thurles (Inter Girls) & Fred Crowley, Thurles CBS (Junior Boys) successful performances together with our other Munster representatives,  Caoimhe Harrington, Aisling Kelly (Inter Girls), Jennifer Cotter (Junior Girls) & Darragh McElhinney (Junior Boys).

Munster Athletes, Mulcaire & Pierce Win GloHealth Irish Schools Senior XC Titles

Munster athletes were to the fore at the GloHealth Irish Schools Cross Country Championships in Clongowes Wood College, Clane, Co. Kildare on Saturday 7th March. There were Senior titles for Kevin Mulcaire, St. Flannan’s Ennis & Rhona Pierce, St. Angela’s Cork. Caoimhe Harrington, Colaiste Pobal, Bheanntrai won the Intermediate Girls title with her fellow student, Darragh McElhinney taking the Junior Boys title. In the Minor Boys competitions, there was silver for East Munster athlete, Jake Bagge, Ard Scoil na Mara with Finn Looney, St. Anne’s Killaloe in 3rd place. Congratulations to all our medal winners & to all who took part.
