The SIAB Schools Cross Country International took place in Santry Demesne, Dublin on Saturday 23rd March. East Munster had 3 athletes on the Irish team with Alex Cashman, Pobalscoil na Trionoide finishing 22nd in the Junior Girls with the Irish team 4th, Tom Walshe, CBS Nenagh placing 29th in the Junior Boys race with the Irish team winning bronze and Emma Landers, Pobalscoil na Trionoide winning silver as part of the Irish Intermediate Mixed Relay. Congrats to all three athletes.

Congratulations to Shane Buckley, Cashel Community School who won gold in the Minor Boys race with silver for Lucy Holmes, Ardscoil na nDeise in the Senior Girls race. Alex Cashman, Pobalscoil na Trionoide was 5th in the Junior Girls, Ruth Heery, Waterpark College was 5th in the Senior Girls race, Tara Ramswamy, St. Angela’s Waterford was 8th in the Senior Girls, Tom Walshe, Nenagh CBS was 10th in the Junior Boys, Emma Landers, Pobalscoil na Trionoide was 11th in the Junior Girls as was Sean O’Donoghue, St. Declan’s Kilmacthomas in the Inter Boys. In the Team Competitions, St. Angela’s Waterford won gold in the Senior Girls with bronze medals for Pobalscoil na Trionoide in the Inter Girls and Ardscoil na nDeise in the Senior Girls.

The Munster Schools Indoor Games took place on Tuesday 5th March in Nenagh Indoor Stadium. With our biggest numbers to date, the competition was sky high with lots of exciting finishing and top class performances. Many thanks to all the schools who supported the event, to Nenagh Olympic A.C. and to all who helped out on the day.
